About the Author

My name is Naomi Chinchar and I'm a first-year student in college. As I try to answer the hard questions in today's world, I started with one that had direct effect on me. Why was attending college pushed so much? I aim to answer this question as to why our society ties education with success. It's exhausting watching stereotypes continued to be used. I hope questioning one might make a small difference.

About the Research

This research explores the societal norm created around education that has led to stigmas regarding seeing less educated individuals of less value in the workplace. This perspective has established the norm that higher education is essential for career success. Education level does not make one better at their job; it’s the person’s characteristics. Ultimately, an individual’s level of education remains closely linked to their success, reflecting the complex relationship between education and career opportunities in today’s society.
